Amayris, often referred to as West Indian Sandalwood, is distilled from a small woody bush indigenous to Haiti. Where it grows, clearing the forest floor of dead, dry wood  is a common practice to prevent forest fires. It is from this ethically harvested wood that we get this wonderful oil, that offers a sustainable alternative to the East Indian Sandalwood. The calming scent of Sandalwood Amayris eases stress and tension and aids in grounding techniques.
